Carlton Davis

The Junior out of Auburn University would be a tremendous addition to the Chiefs secondary. Carlton Davis is a defensive anchor for the Tigers, and is always in full lockdown mode against his receivers.

Davis has been a starter for the Tigers since he first put on the Auburn uniform. A total of four interceptions and 121 tackles projects Davis to have one of the highest upsides in the 2018 cornerback draft class.

As a Junior, Davis is not a guarantee for the draft, but I personally think he is NFL ready. Standing 6’1″ and weighing 203 pounds, Davis has the genetics to be a true corner in the league.

There is no question the Chiefs need more capable corners on their roster, and I truly believe Davis is an excellent candidate.

What makes Davis so exciting is his straight up one-on-one defense. It is rare to see quarterbacks pick on Davis, due to the high chance of him intercepting the ball and rarely allowing the receiver to get open.

The Chiefs do indeed lack lockdown corners, and the addition of Davis in Kansas City may make a world of difference.
