Well, I can tell you that this is nowhere as big a fall as I anticipated from Rob Rang and his CBS power rankings. Rang has taken flak for quite some time for treating the Kansas City Chiefs with a bit of contempt. However, given the opportunity to cast them down, he hasn’t done it.
There is absolutely no doubt that the Chiefs miss Eric Berry right now. However, they’ve overcome his loss before. No, there are some bigger problems in the Kansas City defense right now. Hopefully the long week will have given them time to address it.
Rob Rang puts the Steelers ahead of Kansas City, which I definitely get. The Eagles also belong at the top of the standings. However, I’m still not buying the Patriots as being better than the Chiefs. For whatever problems the KC defense has shown, the New England defense has been clearly worse.
