Kansas City Chiefs: Week 7 NFL Power Rankings

. 6-1. Previous: . Philadelphia Eagles. 1. team. 54

All the Philadelphia Eagles seem to do is win right now, so they have earned the top spot. Philly’s lone loss this year comes against the Kansas City Chiefs, but with KC losing two in a row, I can’t rank the Eagles behind them. It has been a very good first half of the season for Doug Pederson and company.

Nobody saw this coming. Sure, there are probably plenty of Eagles fan boys going “I told you so” right now, but there weren’t any real predictions on this. Philadelphia was expected to still be in the rebuilding phase of things with a young quarterback learning the ropes. Instead they have been running pretty smoothly this year.

Even if Philadelphia doesn’t hold on to this top spot for much longer, you have to be impressed with what they have done. At the very least it is a good sign for the future of the franchise. It’s looking like they were right to invest so much in Carson Wentz.

There is no reason to be selling on the Kansas City Chiefs yet. Losing two in a row is definitely frustrating, but this is still a team that has proven its worth. The Chiefs will rebound soon, and these past two weeks will be nothing more than a bad memory.
