4-guard system will be hard to beat

The lineup displayed in the contest was a four guard system, with one big boy down low. With Graham at the point guard, Self put Malik Newman, Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk, and LaGerald Vick in the backcourt, anchored by big man Azubuike.

The backcourt consists of a true point guard in Devonte’, and three other guards that mix and match between shooting guards, and small forwards. The scary thing about the backcourt, is each one of these talents are more than capable of carrying a team on their back elsewhere.

The Jayhawks are once again fortunate to own the most talented backcourt in all of college basketball – not to mention they are all pure shooters from deep, and can drive their defender to the bucket with ease

Starting Five

  • Devonte’ Graham
  • Svi Mykhailiuk
  • Malik Newman
  • LaGerald Vick
  • Udoka Azubuike
  • Quick off of the bench:
  • Billy Preston
  • Mitch Lightfoot
  • Marcus Garrett

Phew, that is a lot of talent. These Jayhawks are really going to roll this season.
