Billy Preston is going to be a stud

Now that I have discussed the senior, let’s go back and look at a freshman worth talking about. That freshman is Billy Preston, an Oak Hill Academy prospect, who proved to be as special as it gets from a four-star big. Preston’s build, and his confidence on the court make him a threat right out of the gate, as a freshman.

When Carlton Bragg left Kansas University (for his own good), the Jayhawks lacked a stretch-four capable of mismatching opposing defenses. Luckily for the Jayhawks, the team only improved at this position with the addition of Preston.

In his debut against Missouri, Preston put up 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 assist. Preston was 4-5 from the field, as well as 4-4 from the foul line in 15 minutes of action. A few critiques to his game, such as his position before posting up, will only spark an even better version of himself.

His large frame, and soft shooting stroke makes Preston tough to defend, which is something the Jayhawks do not lack to begin with. I am pretty darn excited for Preston, as he will more than likely play very well for the Jayhawks as a freshman.
