Nothing has been going right for Mizzou football this year, but they can win this game against Idaho. Here is everything you need to know about the game.

In a season where just about everything has gone wrong, the Mizzou football team is looking to finally rebound. You would think that the Idaho Vandals are a good team to do that against, except they’ll be saying the same about the Missouri Tigers. Barry Odom and his team need to get things figured out, and fast.

The Tigers are coming off of another embarrassing loss, as they were blown out by Georgia this past week. In itself, that’s not horrible as the Bulldogs are a very good team. It’s the fact that this has become a trend that is disconcerting. Mizzou simply hasn’t shown much life this year.

Looking ahead at the rest of the schedule, there are some opportunities for the Tigers to pull off some wins. That starts this week against an Idaho program that isn’t very good. If Missouri can get a win this week, they’ll have an outside shot at getting bowl eligibility this year.

The Big Lead

There is a very good chance that the Mizzou football program will be considering a coaching change after this year. The Barry Odom era has been a complete disaster so far, despite having some very talented players on his roster. Most concerning is that under a defensive coach, the team’s defense has been awful.

Normally this isn’t the kind of thing that comes up in just the second year of a coach’s tenure. However, Mizzou has been that bad this year. Apart from an opening week win against an FCS school, the Tigers have kept just one opponent within one score.

Barry Odom should most definitely be on the hot seat if this team can’t show any kind of fight moving forward.
