Fantasy Football 2017: Start Em, Sit Em for Week 7
SIT ‘EM
It’s been an interesting week for Martavis Bryant, who reportedly wants out of Pittsburgh. Personally, I think it’d be funny if his team traded him to Cleveland or to another team that sucks, but that’s just me being a jerk.
Bryant isn’t someone I’d start this week. Part of why he’s unhappy is likely that he’s starting to be outshone by rookie JuJu Smith-Schuster. According to Michael Fabiano of NFL.com, Smith-Schuster has been seeing more snaps and getting targeted more by Ben Roethlisberger on the field.
The Steelers will host the Bengals this week and while Bryant had his one REALLY good game at home, he’s just not worth slotting in as a starting wideout this week. He’s yet to go for over 100 yards in a game this season and the hissy fit this past week is a cause for concern.
Perhaps the Steelers will trade Bryant and he’ll go somewhere where he can be more productive. That’s the hope for the former Clemson receiver who just hasn’t found his role with his team this year.
