This should be another good Thursday night game and one that has some big name fantasy football players in it.

More from Fantasy Football

Last year if I had suggested starting Alex Smith and sitting Derek Carr, people would have laughed at me. Carr hasn’t been good this year though and Smith is wowing the critics through six weeks.

As for the running backs, start both of them, as neither defense can stop the run to save their lives. Marshawn Lynch hasn’t had a great return to the NFL, but he has a good chance to put up some major points this week against a bad Chiefs run defense.

Same goes for Kareem Hunt, only he’s proven to be an effective option as an RB1 for fantasy football owners. Hunt should run rough shot over the Raiders this week.

I don’t like the wide receivers in this game, but Michael Crabtree is the only one I’d recommend starting. Crabtree has had a solid season despite his quarterback(s) not performing up to par.

The Chiefs defense is another option I like here, but that should be a unit you’re starting on a near week-to-week basis. They struggle to stop the run, but they force turnovers and can pressure the quarterback.

Be sure to check your lineups and good luck this week!
