The Kansas City Chiefs suffered their first loss of the season this week. In an ugly game like that, hot takes fly all over. Here are some of the best…worst.
We are no longer the lone undefeated team in the NFL. The Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers this weekend. It was a rough game to watch, and that resulted in a lot of emotion on Twitter. Of course that emotion manifested in the form of hot takes.
What is a “hot take”, you ask? Well, hot takes are great. They are the best part of the internet for those of us who don’t make hasty judgments. When that fan or analyst lets their emotions get the better of them and let everything flow in a matter of 140 characters, that’s a hot take. A major declaration based upon one game, or even one play, that’s a hot take.
I have found that Chiefs Kingdom excels at hot takes. From the fans to the bloggers, to the radio hosts, and sometimes even the beat writers. Kansas City football brings out the biggest emotions in all of us. An optimistic, yet continuously let down, fan base is prone to emotional outbursts. So the hot takes flow pretty freely in KC.

Patriots will go 19-0
Jets will be historically bad
Giants are NFC force

August hot takes are bad
Best In The NFL
It’s ok to be upset following a loss. We get emotionally invested in the Kansas City Chiefs, and that leads to outbursts. However, if you’re quick to the tweet button, be prepared to get called on it. This is all for your own good.
For the 99% of us that can refrain from overreacting to a single game, the hot takes are fun to check out. Some folks really just can’t help themselves (I have a lot of them bookmarked for quick reference). The Chiefs are still the best team in the NFL, and despite last night’s loss, still hold a full game lead over the rest of the AFC.
