The Kansas City Chiefs Defense

This was one of those games you look at and think, if Eric Berry was playing this would have been a win.

The Chiefs defense is decent at best through six games. Shame on them and the staff for not having a game plan for the Steelers.

This game was eerily similar to last year’s divisional round game. Pittsburgh did the exact same thing they did to Kansas City in the playoffs. The Chiefs basically let them.

Ben Roethlisberger had an efficient day compared to last week’s massacre against the Jaguars. Marcus Peters did get an interception, but Ben did what he needed to do.He handed the ball off to LeVeon Bell.

Bell rushed 32 times for 179 yards and a touchdown.

His patience behind his blockers was on full display. Countless times he made something out of nothing.

Time after time against the Chiefs he runs as if he’s smothered in butter. The Chiefs couldn’t make an initial tackle to save their lives all game.

Antonio Brown had himself a game. He is perhaps the best in the league and he looked every bit of the part.

Brown finished the day with eight catches for 155 yards and touchdown. He constantly beat whoever was covering him with no regard for the feelings of Marcus Peters, Philip Gaines, and Terrance Mitchell.

Marcus Peters did have an interception, but he got beat on many occasions by Antonio Brown.

Dee Ford had a sack for what was one of two qb hits on the day for the Chiefs.

Overall there was nothing actually good on the defensive side of the ball. No particular person had himself a good game in this one.

Gaines continues to hurt the Chiefs at pivotal points in the game. Steven Nelson can’t get back soon enough.
