Kansas Basketball: Evaluating Devon Dotson’s decision to be a Jayhawk
By Kyle Hull
Honestly, as a Jayhawk basketball fan – I tend to be greedy with the success from the Kansas Jayhawks basketball teams. The 13 straight conference titles, the national championships, and the talent-spewing rosters every year, creates a feeling for me to only seek more. I want more success, I want more Bill Self, I want more recruits. I just want more.
Greedy? Yes for sure, but I would love to see just how high the ceiling is for the success within the Bill Self era.
I surely cannot be the only one here.
Along with the success, I want every single 3*-5* recruit to be a Jayhawk. Just so they can have the opportunity to get coached by the best college basketball coach, and play in front of the best home-court advantage in all of sports, and then some. But, in reality – it’s impossible to have that dream come true.
Thankfully though, Bill Self and his staff have great recruiting techniques to bring talent into their system year, after year.
At this time, the Jayhawks have a talented recruiting class coming in for the 2018 season. Dotson, De Sousa, and McCormack very well could be accompanied by Quentin Grimes, Romeo Langford, and Zion Williamson.
But then again, Dotson could easily be the final to commit to the Jayhawks to wrap up this season of recruiting.
But then again x2, Bill Self is pretty good at what he does.
