On Friday, via Instagram Live (@theungaurded), Devon Dotson selected Kansas basketball over the Maryland Terrapins as his school of choice to display his talents on a collegiate level.

Devon Dotson is the latest recruit to put his game securely in the arms of coach Bill Self, and Kansas basketball. A point guard out of Charlotte, North Carolina, Dotson will bring speed and rim attacking attributes to the projected 2018 Kansas Jayhawks men’s basketball team.

After making his decision on Friday evening, I have had a hard time keeping my eyes off of his highlight tapes on the internet. Dotson’s ability to change direction with the ball in his hands is one of the quickest crossovers I have seen in a long time as a high school athlete.

Personally, I think ESPN, and 247sports gave him less credit in their scouting reports than what I believe he truly deserves. Between the two sites, he is #26 overall (ESPN), and #18 overall (247sports), in the 2018 recruiting class.

His explosion with his handles, soft shot, and driving abilities will make him one of the toughest guards in America to stop once he reaches the collegiate level. Yes I know, we still have the 2017 Jayhawks to look forward to, but since Dotson recently joined the greatest place to play basketball, why not enjoy the moment?

From now until the Devon Dotson era begins at KU, I will continue to drool over his game. So while I am on topic – let’s take a look at how this explosive guard will help the Kansas Jayhawks in 2018.
