The K-State football team squared off against the Horned Frogs of TCU on Saturday in a game dominated mostly by the weather. K-State never really threatened and fell to 3-3 with a 26 to 6 defeat.

Alex Delton got the start for an injured Jesse Ertz and had the tough task of leading the K-State football offense against the Big12’s third ranked defense in yards per play. The box score wasn’t pretty for the Wildcats as they were out-gained by a spread of 395-216 in total yards.

The other story of the day was the weather. The game was delayed multiple times, including a three hour delayed start. This caused both teams to take a pretty conservative approach as they wanted to get the early lead and try to hang on with the weather. The weather also worked to kill the overall game atmosphere, which is not a shot at the fans, because of how long it took.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a lot of analysis to be done with the day’s effort. K-State came out flat. They didn’t execute. And they didn’t do much to write about. Instead of doing a report card, I’ve decided to just write down some thoughts.
