Fantasy Football 2017: Start Em, Sit Em for Week 6
SIT ‘EM
When the Buffalo Bills sent Sammy Watkins to Los Angeles this offseason, it seemed like a great move for the young wide receiver. Watkins didn’t have many opportunities to prove himself in Buffalo, but moving to the Rams would give him a chance to grow with a young quarterback in Jared Goff.
As good as Goff has been for the Rams this year, however, Watkins hasn’t made much of an impact in the past few games. He’s totaled one catch for 17 yards in the past two games COMBINED. He had zero receptions last week against the Seahawks.
The hope is there for Watkins to rebound, but it won’t be this week against a surprisingly tough Jaguars team. The Jags are hot and they’re going to be threats to shut down the Rams’ weapons. Watkins is in that mix.
Don’t give up on Sammy Watkins yet. We’ve seen how great he can be when he and Goff get into a rhythm, but he’s just not a great option to start right now.
