Fantasy Football 2017: Start Em, Sit Em for Week 6
SIT ‘EM
The New Orleans Saints granted Adrian Peterson his wish and traded him to the Arizona Cardinals. What’s that mean for Peterson’s fantasy stock? Well, for now, not much. I still wouldn’t start him.
The Cardinals have struggled to run the football ever since David Johnson went down early in the season, so the acquisition of Peterson was a smart move. This week, however, I don’t like Peterson’s chances of making an impact for the Birds.
The Buccaneers run defense has been pretty solid, which is one big knock on Peterson. The other big knock is on Peterson himself, who wasn’t doing anything while with the Saints.
Peterson had only totaled 81 yards off 27 carries and zero touchdowns. He had more competition in New Orleans with Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara, but he’s still not a safe pick to start this week. Let’s see how well he does first.
