After a few snoozers, Thursday Night Football is finally starting to provide us with some more compelling match-ups. This Eagles and Panthers game will likely be one of the best Thursday night games all season.

More from Fantasy Football

Both teams have great rushing defenses, which is why I’d stay away from playing any running backs in this game. The three I picked to sit haven’t had great starts to the season, which is another good reason for keeping them on the bench this week.

As for who to start, I went pretty wide receiver heavy here. The Eagles secondary is without Ronald Darby, who was their best corner, and teams have been throwing on them. Kelvin Benjamin and Eric Dickson are easy start ’em choices this week, as Cam Newton will be looking their way frequently.

Nelson Agholor had a big game last week and I think we’ll see that continue. He and Carson Wentz clearly had chemistry a week ago against one of the best defenses in the league in the Cardinals.

Starting either defense this week could be a tough call, as they’re both good, but the offenses don’t tend to turn it over much. Sacks could be the deciding factor for those units.

I’m excited for this game and hopefully your fantasy football team reaps the benefits of whichever way this game goes. Good luck!
