BAD: THIRD DOWN CONVERSIONS

I wrote a preview piece that broke down some of the issues of the K-State offense. My feelings are a bit hurt because quite clearly, nobody associated with the K-State staff read it.

The Wildcats managed to go 2 for 11 on third downs. It was another horrific performance that actually makes one wonder how the game even went to overtime.

There is something wrong with the offense. It doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do anymore. Somehow, their grind it approach, which was perfect for how the team recruited, has been replaced with a big play type offense that we just don’t hit enough.

I could go on, but it’s time to move on. This is a big struggle for the Wildcats, however, and if they don’t improve at it, wins could be hard to come by moving forward.
