Mizzou Football: Good, Bad, Ugly Vs Kentucky Football
Mizzou football lost a winnable game on Saturday to the Kentucky Wildcats by a score of 40-34. What was good, what was bad, and what was ugly in this one?
It just doesn’t appear to be going Missouri‘s way this season, as the Tigers have dropped their fourth straight game and sit at 1-4 on the year. MU fell to Kentucky on the road in a game that, in all honesty, they should have won.
Two missed field goals ended up being crucial to Mizzou falling on the road as well as a very slow moving referee. It was a tough loss for Tiger fans and now it’s looking more and more bleak that Barry Odom will be able to turn this program around.
Well, with another game in the books, it’s time to look at the good, the bad, and the ugly from Mizzou’s latest outing. Let’s start with the good.
GOOD: RUSHING GAME
The offense finally got it going and a huge part of that is in thanks to the rushing attack of the Missouri Tigers. Ish Witter in particular put this Tigers team on his back and ran like a mad man in Lexington.
Witter ended the day with 17 carries for 139 yards and the Tigers running backs had a total of 33 carries for 213 yards with a touchdown. They were on fire!
After a few weeks of doing nothing, it was nice to see the run game break out in a big way.
