Week five of the NFL season is underway and with that, so is week five in fantasy football! Who should you start and who should you sit as the fifth week of the season continues this weekend?

Another crazy week of fantasy football action takes place this weekend in the NFL and hopefully your team is doing well to this point of the season. Last week was pretty unpredictable, with the Texans hanging nearly 60 points on Tennessee and the Falcons and Patriots both losing to “lesser” opponents”.

We’ll start now with my “Hit of the Week” and “Miss of the Week”, which are always fun to look back on. As usual, I made a mistake or two when offering to start and who to sit, but my biggest goof came from starting a Broncos receiver that I really thought was going to have a huge game. I also had some pretty good highlights though.

LEIGH’S HIT OF THE WEEK – SITTING AMARI COOPER

For the second straight week, Amari Cooper of the Oakland Raiders failed to make an impact and recorded zero fantasy points. As a result, the Raiders failed to move the football and lost their second straight game. With Derek Carr hitting the shelf for a few weeks, Cooper’s fantasy owners might have to strongly consider benching him until he starts to show signs of life again.

LEIGH’S MISS OF THE WEEK – STARTING EMMANUEL SANDERS

I was optimistic that Broncos receiver Emmanuel Sanders would have a tremendous game against the Oakland secondary, but he tallied only two points for his fantasy owners. Sanders hasn’t gotten it going yet this season and that’s alarming for those who have him on their squad.

With four teams on a bye this week, this advice could help you figure out who are good options to slot in and who to avoid. Let’s get to it!
