Number 14

If Kansas stays healthy in the right positions, there should be no reason the 14th straight conference championship trophy doesn’t sit in Self’s office.

There isn’t another team in the conference that rebuilds like the Kansas Jayhawks. Rebuilding is what many teams ironically are doing this season.

The approach was somewhat different for this season. A total of six transfers will suit up for the Jayhawks. If they learn to play together, which they will undoubtedly under their Hall of Fame coach, of course, the title is wrapped up by senior night.

Expectations are high each year for Kansas basketball, and these expectations are well deserved.

Of course, this season is no different as the Jayhawks look to get closer to making history with every win. This streak means so much to the university, the alumni, the faithful fans, the players and the coaches. I look for some good basketball to be played during the 2017-2018 season.

It’s getting closer and closer, finally. The magic that swirls around the air in Allen Fieldhouse. The greatest fans in college sports. A chant of Rock Chalk All We Do Is Win Jayhawk will be heard in arenas nation wide.

In conclusion, Kansas will win its 14th straight conference title this season.

This season, more notably than others, opponents will definitely need to pay heed when entering the Phog.
