We are in Week 4 of the NFL season, and the Kansas City Chiefs sit alone at the top of the league. The 4-0 Chiefs have convinced most analysts they are for real.
It feels good to be a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs right now. For at least another week, the Chiefs are the best team in the NFL. Sitting alone at 4-0 in the league, KC has clearly established that they are a team that everyone will have to contend with. That is being reflected in this week’s power rankings.
Sure, power rankings are generally useless and have no bearing on what happens on the field. However, it can give you a pretty good idea of where your team stands. It’s also quite a bit of fun to click through each site and see the Chiefs holding the top spot.
In general, I try not to pay much attention to the power rankings until after Week 4 of the season. There is just no way to know for sure who is actually good and who isn’t until you’ve got some game data to factor in. We are now finally at that point for this year.
So let’s see what the world thinks of the 2017 Kansas City Chiefs right now.
FanSided
Matt Verderame has finally put the Kansas City Chiefs into the top spot of the FanSided power rankings. It’s about time honestly. Of course, I’m sure Matt (formerly the head man at Arrowhead Addict) didn’t want people blasting him about having a bias. Personally, I don’t care what people say about my bias. I wave that flag proudly.
You are going to see quite a bit of this for the Chiefs this week. Kansas City has done exactly what they needed to do to prove themselves deserving of the top spot. As long as the Chiefs continue to win, you can expect them to remain everyone’s #1.
