Carson Palmer had a slow start to the year, struggling against both the Lions and Colts, before picking it up last week against the Cowboys. Palmer is probably nearing the end of his playing career, but he’s definitely worth starting this week, as he and his Cardinals will face the 49ers.
The 49ers defense got absolutely shredded by the Rams offense last week, surrendering nearly 300 yards through the air and just under 130 yards on the ground. It wasn’t a pretty outing for the Niners D, but that’s all the better for people who own Palmer in fantasy football.
Palmer put up 25 fantasy points a week ago and should continue to do well this week. He’s got a favorable match-up and if you own him, start him this week. Jared Goff certainly reaped the benefits of facing the Niners defense and Carson Palmer has the ability to do the same.
Palmer might scare some owners due to his struggles early on, but this is just too good of a match-up for him to pass up on.
