BAD: PENALTIES

Whoa man, the Kansas City Chiefs are becoming the Oakland Raiders of getting penalized! They racked up 13 penalties for over 120 yards and it was just really, really sloppy.

A holding penalty on the Chiefs in the fourth quarter allowed the Chargers to get a first and ten and keep their drive going when they should have been punting the football away. It’s those types of plays that can really kill teams down the stretch. The Chiefs have to limit the penalties or it’s eventually going to cost them.

The good news, however, is that Travis Kelce didn’t get a personal foul penalty called on him! He wasn’t in on the action much, so that probably had something to do with it, but it was nice to see nothing called on him for once.

Marcus Peters had an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty called on him at the end of the first half that gave the Chargers a first down deep in KC territory. Los Angeles would go on to kick a field goal, shaving the Chiefs’ lead down to seven.

Peters has been well behaved for the most part, but that’s a penalty that could have been costly.
