While Coby Fleener isn’t projected to have a big day by CBS Sports fantasy wise, look at his production throughout the first two games of the season? He’s found the end zone twice and has grabbed at least three passes in both games.
Fleener isn’t a name that’s going to dazzle people, but let’s face the facts here. He and Drew Brees obviously have chemistry on the field this year and that’s nothing to scoff at. When Brees likes one of his targets, he’ll look his way as much as possible.
There’s not much to like about this year’s Saints team, but Coby Fleener is looking like a viable option to keep as your starting tight end for the duration of the season. He might not get a ton of yardage, but he scores touchdowns and that’s what counts, right?
The Saints will face the Panthers this weekend, who have been pretty solid defensively. Will Fleener be able to put up some points against them?
