The Carolina Panthers have held their opponents to just six points in two games. Both the 49ers and Bills were only able to put up field goals on this Panthers defense.
With that said, however, I wouldn’t buy in on the Carolina defense being legit just yet. They played the 49ers, who suck on offense, and the Bills, who also suck on offense. If the Panthers truly are a defensive force to be reckoned with, we’ll find out this week when they welcome in the Saints.
It’s always a good idea to bench the defense that’s going up against Drew Brees and the Saints and that’s what I’m advising here. New Orleans is 2-0 and they’re going to be really striving to get that coveted first win of the year.
Brees puts up yards with ease and with the Panthers not having faced a quarterback like him yet this season, now is not the time to get cute and see if they have what it takes. Bench the Carolina defense this weekend and pick up another option on the waiver wire.
