Marcus Peters Apparently Got Beat All Day ~ Angry Flag Guy
Now I understand that there are many people out there who feel strongly one way or the other over how players respond to the National Anthem. For Kansas City Chiefs fans, that puts Marcus Peters squarely under the spotlight. Of course, it also means that many people allow their social opinions to overshadow any football knowledge.
No, John. This is not correct. Marcus Peters was once again very good in coverage. Peters had a very solid day where he was very rarely tested. That’s because he tends to keep solid coverage throughout the game. The Chiefs gave up some passing yards, but they largely came on the other side of the field.
A little quick research showed me exactly what I expected to find. Our friend John simply doesn’t like Marcus Peters because he doesn’t stand for the anthem. So that leads him to critique other things about Peters, quite erroneously. Remember, if you want your athletes to stick to football, you might want to do the same.
