SIT ‘EM

Projected Points: 4. Running Back. Colts. Frank Gore. 2. player. 46

Frank Gore still has the pop to be a starting running back in the NFL, but he didn’t deliver last week. Then again… No one on the Colts team delivered in a 46-9 blowout in Los Angeles.

I don’t like Gore as a starter in most leagues as it is, but playing him against a pissed off Cardinals defense is a bad idea.

Gore had ten carries for 42 yards while rookie Marlon Mack had ten carries for 24 yards and a touchdown. The Colts gave the two the same workload, which definitely hurts Gore’s value as an RB1.

I don’t like Gore as a starter in most leagues as it is, but playing him against a pissed off Cardinals defense is a bad idea. Last week the Lions struggled to run the ball against Arizona, rushing for only 82 yards on the day.

The Colts are bad enough as it is and the Cardinals will probably take an early lead on them. That will mean Scott Tolzien will have to throw the ball more (help us all) and the running game will evaporate as a result. That means Gore will see less carries and that should be the biggest reason to sit him this week.
