START ‘EM

Ty Montgomery. 2. player. 49. Projected Points: 12. Running Back. Packers

The Packers will head to Atlanta to face the Falcons this week as the birds open up their brand spankin’ new stadium. Ty Montgomery of the Packers is a great option to start this week due to the Falcons getting shelled in the run game in Chicago a week ago.

Atlanta allowed the Bears to rush for 125 yards and most of that damage was put up by rookie Tarik Cohen, who had 66 yards on the day. The Falcons didn’t have a good answer for stopping the run and that should give Montgomery a chance to succeed big for his owners in week two.

Montgomery put up 14 points last week for Green Bay, who faced a tough defense in the Seahawks. If he was able to put up good stats (54 yards and a touchdown) against Seattle’s defense, just imagine what kind of damage he’ll be able to do against the Falcons.

Ty Montgomery might not seem like the big brooding back your fantasy team needs, but he’ll do the trick this week against the less than stellar Falcons run defense.
