Mizzou football lost a gross game to the South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday night and now the Tigers sit at 1-1 on the year. It was not a good game for Missouri whatsoever, but life goes on.

The Missouri Tigers played their first SEC game of the 2017 season and it did not go according to plan for the black and gold. MU not only lost, but they lost by a significant margin, with the Gamecocks taking this one in Columbia (Missouri) by a score of 31-13.

While the entire game wasn’t ugly for the Tigers, the ending sure was. MU only trailed by four at half time and would only add a field goal to their total for the rest of the night. South Carolina would put on another 17 points in the second half and run away with this thing.

Nothing looked to go right for Missouri in the second half and it was perplexing after the offense went off a week ago. The offense looked lost on Saturday, the special teams were gross, and the defense gave up just too many big plays, yet were the highlight of the night.

This wasn’t a fun game to partake in, but talking about the loss will help heal the pain. So, let’s get to it, Tiger fans… Here’s the good, the bad, and the ugly from this weekend’s loss to the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Don’t worry. I’ll be your crying shoulder during these hard times.
