GOOD: RUNNING GAME

After a rough week on the ground, the Jayhawks run game stepped up big time against the Chippewas. KU ended their second game with a total of 147 yards off of 34 carries.

Leading the charge in the rushing attack was Dom Williams, who took the football 18 times of 64 yards and two touchdowns. Deron Thompson had ten carries for 48 yards while Ryan Schadler had one carry that ended up going 33 yards down the field for six.

Kansas relied on their run game in this one and it didn’t disappoint. The KU running backs fought hard for extra yardage all day long and that was nice to see. If these guys can keep putting up these kind of numbers, then we’ll all feel much happier about the way this Kansas offense is shaping up.

Aside from these two “Good” portions, there wasn’t much else to cheer about on Saturday.
