UGLY: GENERAL ENTHUSIASM

Let’s be blunt. Were you excited for this game? Don’t worry, I already know your answer because nobody was.

That includes everyone from coaches to fans to the television crew FOX sent.  The Wildcats appeared like they just wanted to put in a days work and get to Vanderbilt. It also felt like, with the basic schemes, that they didn’t want to embarrass their opposition.

UGLY: INJURIES

If a player had a hint of an injury, they didn’t play on Saturday. We still have yet to see Justin Silmon or Alex Delton play. Byron Pringle and Duke Shelley joined them today.

The Wildcats appeared like they just wanted to put in a days work and get to Vanderbilt.

The biggest news? Dalton Risner, a possible future NFL offensive lineman exited the game early. Expect no updates from Coach Snyder, but trust me when I say this will be watched closely. While Silmon and Delton are backups, I don’t think anybody wants to go too long without Pringle, Shelley, or Risner. Let’s hope that the time off helps.

Except for Risner, however, everybody else appeared to get through the day. That’s definitely the good news out of this ugly section.
