GOOD: PASSING DEFENSE

It’s not an easy task going into Foxboro and facing Tom Brady. He’s won five Super Bowls during his long career and has proven to be one of, if not THE, best quarterbacks of all-time.

The Chiefs passing defense held their own against Brady, however, only allowing him to go 16 of 36 for 267 yards. Brady had no touchdown passes, but also wasn’t intercepted at all. He was sacked three times.

Nobody thought that Alex Smith would outperform Tom Brady this week, but that’s what happened. If I showed you the quarterback stats from Thursday’s game and didn’t tell you who they belonged to, everyone would think that Smith’s stats were Brady’s and vice versa.

The Kansas City Chiefs continued to post a bend, but don’t break defense, but they sure kept Tom Brady in check. That’s a damn good sign for a team hoping to contend for a Super Bowl.
