START ‘EM
Marcus Mariota very well could take the leap into the top ranked quarterbacks this year and he’ll have a nice opportunity to do so in week one of the season. Mariota’s Titans will be hosting the Oakland Raiders in Nashville in what should be a shootout for both units.
The Raiders defense was awful a season ago, clocking in at 26th in the league as far as total yards allowed go. In other words, it’s easy to score on the Raiders and Mariota is going to put up points against them.
With Eric Decker and Corey Davis finally healthy at the same time, Mariota will have a slew of weapons at his disposal. It’s also worth noting that Mariota can run the football pretty well, putting up 349 yards on the ground a year ago to go along with two rushing touchdowns.
If there’s one easy non-future Hall of Fame quarterback to throw into the starting spot this weekend, it’s Marcus Mariota.
