Hey, another Colt! Pretty much everything said on the last slide for T.Y. Hilton applies here for tight end Jack Doyle, who is going to lose a lot of targets due to having Tolzien as his quarterback.
Doyle is a tight end that could rise up the ranks this year, but only if Andrew Luck is out there throwing to him. Doyle only had two receptions for 25 yards when Tolzien was his quarterback last year. Those are not inspiring numbers at all.
As I said with Hilton, hang tight on Jack Doyle. He’ll be worth the pick you spent on him as soon as Andrew Luck comes back, but until then, I hope you grabbed another decent tight end to fill that void.
It’s a safe bet that any Colts offensive player can be benched this week since Tolzien is not going to be zipping passes down the field to many of them. It’s the cold harsh truth.
