FanDuel Fantasy Football Defenses and Kickers

At this point in the season, these are the eptimore of crap shoots. Despite averaging 2.3 points more a week last year, the Kansas City Chiefs defense is priced at 4,300 for week one, and the New England Patriots come in at $4,500.

Clearly, FanDuel thinks the Patriots are going to win this games and have priced the two accordingly.

SYNOPSIS: Do the same, if you pick one of these defenses, pick the one for the team you think will win – probably New England.

Stephen Gostkowski only averaged .1 more point in 2016 than did Cairo Santos, yet he is $400 more in week one. Santos has been battling an injury but is now ready to go.

SYNOPSIS: Don’t pay that much of a premium on a kicker who put up the same numbers as Santos. The Chiefs’ kicker is the bargain here.

The Patriots are the defending champs, playing at home, and are the clear favorite to win this game. If you want players like Brady and Gronkowski in your lineup, you will have to pay a premium. In some cases, like with Brady, you probably want to spend the extra.

In other cases, players like Kelce and Hill may be bigger bargains, and they allow you to have a good player and extra money to spend elsewhere.

This game should be an exciting way to launch the NFL 2017 regular season. You don’t have to be a fantasy football fan to be settled in on your favorite recliner come Thursday night!
