This game will feature arguably the best two fantasy tight ends on the planet. Rob Gronkowski, when healthy is a beast and it a favorite, dependable target for Brady.
Travis Kelce doesn’t produce the consistency of a healthy Gronk but is quite capable of being a big play tight end himself. In 2016, Kelce actually averaged slightly more points a week than Gronkowski – 11.3 to 10.6.
Kelce is dealing with a calf issue but should play on Thursday.
The biggest consideration in picking between these tight ends is the price. Gronkowski is an amazing $1,500 more. The Patriots’ tight end is the highest priced option this week at $8,000. Kelce is a mere $6,500.
SYNOPSIS: Unless you like spending a good chunk of your cap on tight ends, Kelce is clearly a bigger bargain than Gronkowski. Grab Kelce and use that extra $1,500 elsewhere.
