The Chiefs defense has been one of the best in the league over the past few years. How will the Patriots go about attacking the strength of this Kansas City team?

"I think the Patriots just have too many weapons for the Chiefs to handle. These teams haven’t played since January 2016, and both are really different. New England now has a 4-headed monster in the backfield and they’ve added Brandin Cooks to a strong WR group. Another year in the system for Chris Hogan and Malcolm Mitchell should be huge, and both could break out this year. I also don’t think anyone on the Chiefs can cover Rob Gronkowski one-on-one, so if they double team him someone else will always be open for Brady."

It’s no secret that the Patriots have a very good offense, led by Brady, of course. Rob Gronkowski also should be back and healthy this year, which is another scary weapon for the Pats. As Jakubajtys mentioned, New England traded for Brandin Cooks this year and will also see Chris Hogan and Malcolm Mitchell improving.

There was more to the response though.

"I do think the Chiefs are one of the toughest opponents the Patriots will face this season, but I still think New England can score over 30 points, while Kansas City may struggle without Spencer Ware and a game manager QB."

While it might be tough for Chiefs fans to see the compliment there, it’s there, plain as day. A Patriots fan is giving the Kansas City Chiefs credit by saying they’ll be one of New England’s tougher opponents in 2017. On the flip side, however, he thinks the Patriots will put up over 30 points against this Chiefs defense.
