Kansas City Chiefs draft watch: Week 1 prospects

Kansas City Chiefs Draft Prospects
Tight End
Demetrius Harris may have finally developed for the Kansas City Chiefs, or maybe not. Either way, it wouldn’t hurt the Chiefs to go looking for some additional talent at the position. Having a reliable tight end group provides some great options for a quarterback. That is especially true for a young passer.
Mike Gesiki – Penn State
If you’re looking for a well-rounded tight end prospect, Mike Gesiki is your man. The Penn State senior hauled in both of the Nittany Lions’s touchdown receptions, and put up over 50 yards receiving. He’s a solid player who will see his draft stock rise, but may stay in range for the Chiefs.
Mark Andrews – Oklahoma
I have a first round grade on Mark Andrews early in the draft process, but that may change. Of course, it certainly won’t if he keeps playing like he did this weekend. Andrews was unstoppable as he led the Sooners in receiving yards and added a touchdown. Expect some big numbers from the hybrid TE/WR this year.
Troy Fumagalli – Wisconsin
The Badgers went on their expected rout of Utah State, and Troy Fumagalli led the way receiving. The senior tight end was an unstoppable force, racking up over 100 yards through the air. He will get plenty of interest in the 2018 draft, but should be available when the Chiefs have their first selection.
