Mizzou Football: Report Card Vs Missouri State Bears
What a day for the Missouri receivers, but I really liked what I saw from Johnathon Johnson. Johnson took the first play of the game for the Tigers and took it 65 yards down the field for six to put MU up 6-0 early on.
Johnson ended the day with five catches for 116 yards and two touchdowns. J’Mon Moore actually had more yards on the day than Johnson and both guys would get A’s for sure, but I decided to mention Johnson due to that big play he had at the very beginning of the game.
Missouri clearly has some of their best talent at wide receiver in awhile and that’s great for a team that’s hoping for an offensive breakout this year. Lock has two great receivers and Johnson very well could be one of the best players on the entire 2017 roster.
Look for Johnson to become Lock’s number one guy on the field. He showed that early and often in this one and that should continue as the season progresses.
