. RB. Missouri Tigers. DAMAREA CROCKETT. A-

There was a lot to be excited about in year two of Damarea Crockett and fans got to see just how electric Crockett is in the opener. The kid completely crushed it on the gridiron this Saturday and showed that he’s on pace for another special season for Mizzou.

Crockett ended Saturday’s game with 18 carries for 202 yards and two touchdowns. He had a long run of 73 yards and looked to be a major weapon for the Tigers on offense, accounting for over 200 yards on the day.

There was a lot to be happy about with how well Damarea Crockett performed.

The only reason I didn’t give Damarea Crockett an outright A was due to the excessive celebration touchdown that ended up getting six points reduced from the scoreboard. Crockett also fumbled the football, but fortunately MU was able to get the ball back.

In big games, the Tigers might not be so lucky to afford both of those mishaps. The excessive celebration call was a stupid one that I didn’t agree with, but the referees obviously saw something wrong with Crockett diving into the end zone. That’s something he’ll have to become aware of and not repeat in the future.

Overall though, there was a lot to be happy about with how well Damarea Crockett performed. He had a hell of a day in Columbia!
