TOP 15 DEEP SLEEPERS TO TARGET IN 2017 – NUMBER 13: CHARCANDRICK WEST

With Spencer Ware going down, Charcandrick West‘s role will increase in Kansas City. West previously was in jeopardy of being cut by the Chiefs, but now he’ll resume playing a critical role in the Chiefs offense.

[West]’s not going to be flashy right off the bat,

West struggled last year, rushing for only 293 yards and one touchdown and racking up just 188 yards through the air with two touchdowns. West’s ability to both run the ball and catch the ball effectively make him worth taking a stab on in the late, late rounds or even worthy of a pickup off the waiver wire after a game or two, just to see how his production holds up.

The Chiefs are going to roll with Kareem Hunt as their starter and West could become the backup depending on how C.J. Spiller is used in the system. West will be a classic case of “Wait and see” when it comes to fantasy football. He’s not going to be flashy right off the bat, but injuries or the guys ahead of him struggling could push him into a more important position.

If you did your draft before Ware went down with his injury, it’s an easy fix. Go pick up Charcandrick West if you can.
