DEMETRIUS HARRIS

“Hold On Loosely” by 38 Special

Backup tight end Demetrius Harris had some problems holding onto the football last year. The former college basketball player turned NFL tight end had six dropped passes in 2016, which frustrated even the most sympathetic Chiefs fans.

While Harris did have some key catches (the two-point conversion in Denver and Dontari Poe‘s touchdown pass on Christmas night), any time the football was thrown his way, Chiefs fans were nervous as could be.

Any time the football was thrown [Harris’] way, Chiefs fans were nervous as could be.

With all of that said, Harris’ walk-out song would be “Hold On Loosely” by 38 Special. This one could be a little more on the “meaner” side, but no one could doubt what I’m getting at here. Harris has looked better at holding onto the football this preseason, but will that hold up in the big moments during the regular season? We’ll have to wait and see.

"Just hold on loosely But don’t let go If you cling too tightly You’re gonna lose control"

Remember – These are meant to be fun. Harris dropping passes last year was a recurring trend and his song choice had to reflect that. Plus, 38 Special kicks ass!
