KAREEM HUNT

“Runnin’ Down a Dream” by Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers

Kareem Hunt isn’t a starter yet for the KC Chiefs, but he likely will be on his way to filling that role in the near future. The Chiefs traded up in the third round to grab Hunt, hoping that he could recapture what the Chiefs used to expect in their run game.

Spencer Ware doesn’t have a firm grip on the starting running back gig and Hunt will be determined to make it his. He looked good in the second preseason game and could potentially be the only drafted Chiefs rookie to get a considerable amount of playing time for this year’s team.

With that in mind, the perfect walk-out song for Kareem Hunt is “Runnin’ Down a Dream” by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. The song choice is self-explanatory, as Hunt has his work cut out for him and he’s going to literally be “running” to make his dream of starting in the NFL a reality.

It also doesn’t hurt that Tom Petty is awesome and “Runnin’ Down a Dream” is his best song. I saw him in concert this past summer and he was incredible. Who wouldn’t want be juiced when running out to that song?
