Each Kansas City Chiefs player has his own personality and his own story. What if those players had their choice of their own walk-out song as they ran out of the tunnel on game day?

For every game at Arrowhead Stadium, the Kansas City Chiefs either do introductions on offense or on defense. These are usually just introducing the player and him running out while the fans cheer like crazy.

What if, however, each starting member of the Chiefs got to pick his own walk-out song? I decided to settle that score and pick what each Chiefs’ song would be and why that song would be a perfect match for said player.

KC Kingdom has done this before with the Royals, which was a lot of fun to put together. So, as a result, I decided to do the same thing for Chiefs players!

These songs were picked based on the title alone matching the player or the lyrics describing him. Some of them were no brainers and others were a little trickier to come up with. Other song choices might have been chosen because a certain lyric really hits home with a player.

I will note that I didn’t include every starter, but I got most of them on here. I’ll also pick a few songs that best represent the team, which we’ll get to at the end. So, without further ado, let’s kick off the walk-out songs with the most scrutinized player on the team!

ALEX SMITH

“Hangin’ Tough” by New Kids on the Block

When it comes to the most heavily debated athletes in Kansas City, Alex Smith is without a doubt on most people’s lists. It’s not that Smith is bad, it’s just that some fans feel that he has some limitations on the field, especially when it comes to throwing the ball down the field.

Whenever the Chiefs lose, whether it’s a big game, a regular season game, or even if they win and it was a sloppy win, Smith always seems to be under fire for whatever happened. Sure, there have been times over the last four years where Smith did something stupid, but the Chiefs have not had a losing record since he’s been in town and that should stand for something.

Even though people are buzzing about Smith, he’s going to ignore the haters and ball out.

Now that the Chiefs have drafted Patrick Mahomes to be Smith’s replacement, the former number one overall pick is really going to have his work cut out for him while people are doubting him and even rooting for him to fail. As a result, Smith’s walk-out song would be “Hangin’ Tough” by New Kids on the Block.

"Everybody’s always talkin’ ’bout who’s on top Don’t cross our path ’cause you’re gonna get stomped"

The song, while cheesy, shows that even though people are buzzing about Smith and rooting against him, he’s going to ignore the haters and ball out. You go, Alex Smith! Don’t let anyone bring you down!
