Top 15 Rookies to Target in Fantasy Football: Number 8 – Kareem Hunt

The Kansas City Chiefs used to be a team known for their ability to run the football, but ever since Jamaal Charles went out in 2015, it’s been a bit of a different story. Charles is no more in Kansas City and now the team is relying on Spencer Ware to have a better year two campaign as the every week starter.

While Ware is likely going to win the job to start the year, don’t sleep on Kareem Hunt eventually seizing it from him and keeping it for awhile. Hunt, a third round pick out of Toledo, doesn’t have a ton of completion in Kansas City, as Ware struggled near the end of 2016 and Charcandrick West might not even make the team.

If Hunt has a nice game or two, he could very easily be propelled into that number one role. Hunt has the ability to become a great running back in the league, but he’s not someone that fans should reach on.

It’ll be common, especially if you’re from Kansas City and participating in a league with a bunch of Chiefs fans, for someone to grab Hunt way too early. If he’s still available in the middle to late rounds, don’t hesitate to pick him up. It might even be smart to handcuff him if you draft Spencer Ware in the earlier rounds.
