Top 15 Rookies to Target in Fantasy Football: Number 9 – Samaje Perine

This former Sooners running back was added to the Washington Redskins in order to compete for a number one job against Robert Kelley. While Kelley will probably win the job, Samaje Perine definitely could steal it as the season progresses.

Perine rushed for over 1,000 yards in each of his three seasons at Oklahoma and had a total of 51 touchdowns during that time. He’s someone who could be a starter near the end of the season, but it’ll all depend on Kelley’s performance.

Perine should get a fair share of carries and who knows? Perhaps he can become the Redskins’ starter and put up major points for his fantasy owners each week. He’s worthy of a late round draft pick, maybe even as early as the tenth round, and could surprise some people this year.

Samaje Perine is a name to keep a close eye on during the season because he could surprise a lot of people. He didn’t put up 1,000 yard seasons for three straight years for no reason. The kid is good and could end up being a major steal for your draft. Just don’t reach on him.
