Top 15 Rookies to Target in Fantasy Football: Number 14 – Curtis Samuel

The Carolina Panthers haven’t had much help at the wide receiver position over the past few seasons. The Panthers drafted Curtis Samuel in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft to try and give Cam Newton some help down the field and the two should establish a pretty good connection throughout Samuel’s rookie campaign.

During his time with Ohio State, Samuel put up 865 receiving yards as well as 771 rushing yards and a combined 15 touchdowns between the air and the ground. He can be an absolute nightmare for defenses to cover and should have several impressive games throughout the season.

The biggest knock with Samuel will be consistency, as Carolina has some other key guys they’ll want to get the football to (Greg Olsen being the main one). Hopefully Samuel flashes early on and becomes someone that Newton can trust down the field.

As for when to draft Samuel, the wide receiver position is a more demanding one than other spots, but you should still be able to get him around the 12th round or so. He’s not going to set the world on fire, but not many rookies have that capability.
