Rookies don’t always make a big impact in fantasy football, but this year seems promising with all of the talented youngsters making their debuts in the NFL.

More from Fantasy Football

The riskiest part of drafting a rookie in fantasy football is that no one is sure if the player will start or just how they’ll perform during their first year in the league. While guys like Dalvin Cook and Leonard Fournette will more than likely be the starters for their respective teams, we still don’t know how well they’ll play.

When picking up rookie wide receivers and especially tight ends, it can really go either way. Tight ends are especially inconsistent, which is why I only included O.J. Howard on here and had him at the bottom of my list.

No quarterbacks made the list of rookies to target because honestly… None of them might not even be starting this year. Players like Mitchell Trubisky or Deshaun Watson could see starting time, as the starters on their teams are not very good, but they’re still not quarterbacks I’d want on my fantasy squad.

Don’t expect Dalvin Cook or Leonard Fournette, or any of these guys for that matter, to replicate what Ezekiel Elliott did as a rookie last year. Elliott’s case was rare and we won’t see a rookie tear things up like that again in a long time.

Fantasy football season is upon us and hopefully these rookies can make a positive impact for their teams. Happy drafting!
