Five Bold Predictions for the 2017-2018 Season

The Big 12 Opens Up For the Jayhawks

If you take a look around the league, there is obviously a turning of the tide in the entire Big 12 and the Jayhawks are getting better at just the right time. Other teams are beginning to change and reconfigure their teams to hopefully help their program, but what if it does not work out? What if the teams that are changing end up like the Jayhawks were with Turner Gill?

As of now, there are about five teams experiencing major changes either now or in the near future with their football programs. These schools are Baylor, Kansas State, TCU, Texas, and Texas Tech. All of these teams are experiencing major shifts in their programs either now or very soon.

Texas just hired a new head coach after another embarrassing season with Charlie Strong.  Kansas State may have to look at other options for their aging head coach Bill Snyder. TCU lost one of their premiere offensive coordinators to the Jayhawks. Texas Tech lost their star quarterback, and Baylor is under sweeping reforms from the NCAA.

The door may be wide open for Kansas football to swoop in and do some real damage in the conference.
