The Kansas City Royals came back in an incredible fashion on Wednesday night. Could the devil magic be here to stay?

Cosmic Intervention or Coincidence?

The United States was treated to a once in a lifetime cosmic event on Monday when a total solar eclipse crossed from coast to coast it marked the first time in 99 years that such an event occurred. After winning on Sunday, the Kansas City Royals had an off day for the eclipse.

Off days can sometimes derail momentum, but not so in this instance. Heck, even Royals players such as Whit Merrifield even got in on the excitement rocking eclipse glasses in the clubhouse. The Boys in Blue had been scuffling for the past couple of weeks, as this current win streak is only the second of the month. The Royals started the month 6-12 before heating back up.

While watching the eclipse Monday afternoon with friends, it was hard not to be struck by the magnitude of what I was seeing. I’m sure some of the players in the clubhouse share similar sentiments. A moment like that can change everything.

The Royals sudden change of luck could attributed to getting their All-Star catcher Salvador Perez back on Tuesday night. That being said, I’m willing to believe in a little divine intervention and Royals Devil Magic.
